30×40 acrylic on canvas by artist Janan Riley
My favorite thing I’ve painted since we have been sick. A dream of color and chaos. What I imagine parts of my brain look like.
A fun mom break series. I would add a color each day for a month. A nod to doodling, what got me into art in the first place. I used to cover my notes in doodles at UNO and my professor told me I was in the wrong major. I still finished my Psychology degree. I still doodled and decided to doodle all of New Orleans. While most of my art is of buildings and city scenes about once a year I allow myself the freedom to play.
